Following the 2024 presidential election, 28 states went on strike for various reasons. 19 of the states, California, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont were on strike until Kamala Harris was elected president while states such as Alaska, Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, georgia, Florida and Michigan were on strike for various other reasons ranging from banning the Tesla Cybertruck to free all you can eat lobster buffets at Pacific Catch on National Lobster Day. Despite their differences, they all agreed to make everyone stop working and boycott all striking states until they’re requests are met. At a speech yesterday, Governor Gavin Newsom announced to the public that the major part of the U.S. would be striking. In his words “We will not stand down to Trump, we will elect Kamala Harris, Ban Cybertrucks, Get free all you can eat lobster buffets at Pacific Catch on National Lobster Day and we will do much more!”. When addressed with this issue, Donald Trump stated that when he would come to power, he would lock up any traitors. California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii have discussed separating to create the United States of the West Coast.
